WE THOUGHT it was hard to beat our recent picture of the Review deep under the Red Sea – but now it's been to see England beat Argentina 1-0 in Sapporo, Japan.

And it got there courtesy of a prize win by two Viney Hill men – an all-in trip to catch the beautiful game, hotel accommodation and plane tickets from internet provider Yahoo.

"We had a phone call last Tuesday to say we had won, picked up our tickets on Wednesday evening and flew out in time for the game," said delighted but tired Steven Lane, who took his father George on the two-ticket jaunt.

"It was excellent, brilliant. The atmosphere was fantastic, especially when England won. Afterwards we joined the party in Sapporo. We didn't get back to 4.30am.

"The Japanese were terrific – there were lots of police around but no trouble at all."

Steven clicked on the TEAMtalk 252 sports radio station banner on the Yahoo site the Friday before last while he was at work, answered some questions and promptly forgot all about it.

"The phone call was a real surprise," he said.
