THE organisers of this year's Wyedean Forest Rally are confident of a capacity entry of 180 cars.
The rally, based at Chepstow Racecourse, will be held on February 8. A spokesman said entries were rising by the day and by the end of last week were over 100.
This year's route contains 10 special stages – two at the racecourse itself – and involve over 40 miles of flat-out motoring.
The first car leaves the start at 8am and and the winner should clock in at Chepstow by 2.40pm for the traditional champagne spraying.
Last year the Forest event was voted the best in the BTRDA Rally Series and next month's rally will also incorporate the Dunlop Gold and Silver Star and the Silkolene 1400 Championships.
The rally will also host contenders for the Competition Car Insurance Welsh National, the Dunlop ASWMC Loose Surface and Cotswold Motor Sport Group Stage Rally Championships.
