MR Dawes of Longhope reckons he knows where some of our money went in the EU.

Apparently, according to him, it goes to build posh roads in Lanzarote, so that British ex-pats can have a nice comfortable drive to their holiday home.

He is correct of course, Spain is a net beneficiary of the EU and the UK, along with eight other nations, is a net contributor.

What he conveniently fails to mention is that the UK benefits massively in trade and financial services from its membership, to the tune of £450 billion per annum and that’s why he, like the rest of us, voted to  join in the first place.

There is no need to feel ashamed Mr. Dawes

I would also like to point out, that in 2016, the year we voted to leave the EU, the UK recieved £4.4 billion from the EU to pay for infrastructure projects on the UK mainland.

Of course, how our bunch of criminals in Westminster decided to spend it is another matter,

It certainly wasn’t on infrastructure,  more tax cuts for the wealthy anyone?
