YOUNG members of a band from Ross and Longhope studying at sixth form recently had a successful trip to Birmingham's NEC.

Fahrenheit were taking part in Live and Unsigned, a big UK music competition, and they are now in the regional finals. They will be competing against the best talent in the area from across all the nearby counties.

They play classic rock, blues and progressive rock. They have recently been playing a number of gigs in the Forest of Dean area and are continuing to play more to gain publicity for the next round of the competition on March 24 at the NEC, once more representing Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

The band hopes readers will look them up on Facebook and book them to play gigs, especially in the Forest area.
