What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! I knew I would enjoy it because I've loved "Fiddler on the Roof" ever since I first watched the film as a teenager (many moons ago!).

What I didn't know was just how amazed I would be by the standard of the so-called "amateur" production. I don't think I could have seen anything better in the West End of London (which I certainly couldn't afford right now), than here in the "West End" of Lydney (Geography never was my strongest subject!)

Well, I smiled, snorted and snickered and laughed out loud. I frowned, froze and felt nervous and was swept along in the storyline. I hummed, I sang, I wanted to dance. I cackled, I cried, I nearly cavorted!

Thank you one and all and well done.

A happy, still-humming Lydney lass.
