MOTORISTS and transport operatives are being warned that the Severn Bridge tolls are due to have their annual rise, with the new prices coming into effect from January 1.

Allowed for by the Severn Bridges Act, the rise in fees is adjusted by the Retail Price Index which was published last month.

The new prices are Cars and Motor Caravans: £6.40, (was £6.20), Small Goods Vehicles and Small Buses: £12.80, (was £12.40), Heavy Goods Vehicles and Buses: £19.20, (was £18.60).
