THIS is our second visit to your lovely Forest and valley. Both occasions have been memorable and this time we discovered beautiful places in the Forest. Even though it was wet underfoot we had sunshine and lovely trees and the Sculpture Trail. It is a magic place!

Another reason for coming back, apart from visiting good friends, was to hear live music locally again. We were fortunate enough to hear the most extraordinary band at the Dean Arts Festival at Newnham on October 26 in the form of Rachel Foster and the 'Shod Collective.' Long before we heard that she had success with 'Weekend Players', we were muttering 'she should be signed with some good label.' We had such a good time – all success to the Dean Arts Festival and Rachel Foster.

We ended up buying lots of goodies at the Food Fair at the Speech House where we were staying and eating too many samples after a gargantuan breakfast, and seeing Eddie Grundy in the flesh. It was all too much for us folks!

We will be back, there is no doubt about that! What a weekend! – Mr & Mrs G. Griffiths, High Barnet, Herts.
