For some time we have been concerned about the proposed sell-off of Statutory Forest.
While the HOOF campaign seemed to halt any immediate sales, up to 200 acres of Forest land is to be taken away and developed in the Northern Quarter near Cinderford as a land exchange.
This seems to us as the same as selling off the Statutory Forest.
As we write only one candidate for the County Council elections on Thursday has raised this in the local papers so we urge local voters to ask their candidates whether they support this plan.
Many local people opposed the sale of Statutory Forest but it is still very much under threat. Please use your vote against any Forest sell-off.
