PRINCE Charles' former harpist, Jemima Phillips, is to guest as soloist at the Drybrook and District Male Voice Choir's 27th annual concert at the Forest Church on April 17.
The choir itself has been experiencing a number of changes with a new musical director and deputy accompanist, although they are still looking for a deputy conductor. The choir – formed in 1948 – has been steadily growing and has attracted many new members. Repoitoire ranges from traditional male voice pieces to popular songs from the shows and everything in between. Fundraising projects are a particular pleasure, especially for local charities.
Choir members meet on Wednesday evenings at their own rehearsal rooms, the old telephone exchange in Hawthorn Road, Drybrook.
