THIS government is again proving it is the most anti-environmental, anti-people and anti-democratic shambles ever to be elected.

In the past few years we have seen them attack our wildlife over bees and badgers to appease a failing farming sector which will not address its own faults and methods even when science and public opinion is against it.

Now it is about to embark on a massive attack on the Forest of Dean

by fast-tracking fracking and coal-bed methane, an intensive fossil fuel industry which goes against the call of science worldwide to stop producing carbon and methane to avert the threat to our future which, at present rates, will lead to the extermination of most life within the next 70 years.

This government doesn’t care about our futures, only about short-term profits for their mates in the City and the fracking industry with many vested interests involved in their toxic plans.

Economic growth at any cost is the mantra and propaganda of the right-wing media.

Promises of wealth and energy security are all lies when you look at the facts.

We must stand up against these modern day barbarians in the spirit of Warren James and the HOOF campaign of recent times.

If not, a landscape more akin to Mordor from Lord of the Rings will appear with flaring gas rigs burning excess methane.

The stench of gas with round-the-clock drilling rumbling through the ground and hundreds of tankers clogging our roads daily – just look at Pennsylvania in the United States on the internet to see what they want us to accept.

We must refuse this assault on our world, refuse the financial sweeteners and lies their toxic industry throws at us and say no to fracking in our beautiful Forest of Dean.
