REBEL Lust drummer, Vinnie Buckingham, is organising Rocktoberfest III, a two day free rock festival, following the success of Rocktoberfest I and II.

A range of bands, including Supercharger coming all the way from Newcastle, will be playing at The Royal Oak, Whitecroft on Saturday (August 6) and Sunday (August 7).

Vinnie says: "After the last two events I have had so many bands coming forward asking to play at the next one that I have been able to put together a two day treat for all rock music fans.

"The bands playing are all willing to showcase their music wherever they can free of charge.

"These music events are great for the Forest of Dean. Bands love coming to the area to play and getting good audiences repays their enthusiasm. We are putting the Forest back on the map for great rock music."

The line up on Saturday includes Mutator, Supercharger, Doods on Stools, Riggadoo and Asha Vara.

On Sunday, Forest bands Toadstool and Rebel Lust will be joined by local musical legend Bob Smith, Amateur Drive By and Doomchild.
