A NEW garden centre is open and flourishing on the site of a former nursery and garden shop near Blakeney that has been closed for some while.

Highview Garden Centre, on the A48 hillside going out of Blakeney towards Newnham, opened for business last week and will be offering a wide range of bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, trees, herbs, alpines and roses.

The new drive-in centre, run by husband and wife team Richard and Natalie Martyn, will also sell garden equipment, seeds, pots and composts.

"We are aiming to reinstate a much-needed garden centre and to provide for our community a friendly and helpful service in the hope of making gardening both fun and inspirational," says Natalie.
