THIS year’s first meeting of the Cottage Garden Society will feature an interesting talk by Roger Umpelby on ’Friends and Foes’ found in the garden. 

Mr Umpelby is a professional entomologist and horticulturalist and he will bust a few myths about the bugs and beasties found in our gardens at Walford Village Hall on February 4 at 2pm

Last year concluded with the usual Christmas lunch, which was a happy occasion with members and friends getting together in a festive atmosphere.

The programme of events for the coming year includes a number of outings and some excellent speakers have been booked including Duncan Coombes and Bob Brown who are making return visits to the society’s meeting.

New members and visitors to meeting always welcome.
