THERE was joy among the family and friends of missing man Wayne Grindle after he was found living in the woods and reunited with long-time girlfriend Gill Easteal.
After Ruardean man Wayne went missing after going to Gloucester on May 17, Gill made an impassioned plea for his return, while police became increasingly worried for his safety and launched a widespread search.
"We all love you very much and need you home with us," Gill had earlier announced through the Review, adding: "Wayne's a very quiet family man. He's quiet, considerate, and there's nothing he wouldn't do for you."
Wayne and Gill have a 15-year-old son. Gill said there might have been a few personal issues he was worried about but going missing was completely out of character.
Now he is back they can get on with their lives.
"I would like to thank everyone, friends and family, for helping us to look for him," she said.
"I specially want to thank our friend Lee Jenkins who tracked Wayne down and persuaded him to come back."
