MONMOUTH Music Theatre returns to Gilbert and Sullivan for its autumn show at the Savoy Theatre this week.
The group is presenting its production of The Mikado which opens tonight (Wednesday) and runs until Friday.
Last year’s production of The Pirates of Penzance was directed by Kate Russell who brings her flair and imagination to this show.
The musical director is Ian Russell and audience members will no doubt recognise some of the names in the updated version of the Lord High Executioner’s “little list”.
The cast includes Tim Bateman in the title role, Adrian Bevan as his hapless son, Reuben Jones as Ko-Ko, Andrea Pole as Yum-Yum, Graham Bryant as Pooh-Bah, Kevin Passey as Pish-Tush and Katie Ellis as the terrifying Katisha.
Joining Andrea for the famous Three Little Maids from School song are Monmouth Comprehensive School pupils Jess Netherway and Hannah Pope as Pitti-Sing and Peep-Bo.
Tickets are available from the Savoy Theatre.
