THE third annual Forest of Dean Pink PJ Plod in aid of Cancer Research UK attracted some 200 'plodders' who between them have so far raised £3,250.
Spokesperson Lynne Garner said the trees were a treat for the entrants, some of whom had come from as far afield as London, Stow, Cheltenham, Oxford and Chipping Campden. Outfits ranged from pyjamas to Halloween costumes.
This year's Plod incuded a 5km route as well as the 10km trail, encouraging younger and older people to take part. Among them Margaret Bayliss from Coleford who celebrated her 82nd birthday on the walk.
She attributed her fitness to working until she was 70 and keeping active. She was presented with a box of chocolates and a chorus of Happy Birthday!
The walks were led by volunteers and member of 614 Squadron ATC Lydney and Fusion Medical.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed home made soup, tea and cakes supplied by Relay for Life volunteers. They were assisted by the local Cancer Research UK fund-raising committee the West Dean Ladies.
