THE much-delayed funding package for a new Forest college has finally been completed.

The Gloucestershire Growth Deal announced by the Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership , GFirst, this morning(Thursday) includes £2.6 million for a new campus for Gloucestershire College on the Northern Quarter development in Cinderford.

College principal Matt Burgess, said: “We were delighted to receive the news that our bid to build a new College in the Northern Quarter has been successful. 

“The funding from the LEP represents the last element of the finance required to enable this important project to happen.”

The college will replace the current campus at Five Acres near Berry Hill where the local community is keen to develop the site.
