THE Forest Exiles Cricket Team has received £500 from Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association to assist with developing a junior cricket section.

Dan Keddle, Forest Exiles secretary, told the Review: “We already have one of our players embarking on a winter coaching course and we have big plans to start rolling out junior cricket from next April. We have already run some junior sessions and have plenty of interest. This funding will give us a great start to next season.

“Forest Exiles was founded in 2014 and we have progressed very nicely since then. We have settled really well in the idyllic village of Aylburton and are very fortunate to have such a nice area to play our sport in, as the field and memorial hall facility are second-to-none. Our aim is to offer plenty of cricket to the local community.”
