NEWENT Association for the Disabled is celebrating after receiving £5,000 worth of funding from The Screwfix Foundation.
Lyndon Biddle, from Newent Association for the Disabled, said: “We are very grateful to The Screwfix Foundation for donating these much-needed funds to support our charity.
“Newent Association for the Disabled delivers health and social care through the services at Sheppard House for disabled and older people.
“The funding will be used to replace windows at Sheppard House. We’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the fundraising – it’s been a great help to us.”
Phill Dolton, store manager of the Screwfix store in Ross-on-Wye, added: “Staff from across the business have held a variety of fundraising events to raise vital funds for The Screwfix Foundation, so it’s fantastic to see the money we have raised being invested back into such a worthwhile community project.”
The Screwfix Foundation, which launched in 2013, donates much-needed funding to local projects throughout the UK.
The next round of funding will be awarded in early 2016. Relevant projects from across Gloucestershire are invited to apply online for a share of the funding at screwfix foundation.com.
