A BLOWN fuse at a Lydney substation on Thursday left 49 properties without power.
Severnside Vets, the Greyhound Inn and Naas Lane Community Centre, as well as homes in the Naas Lane and Highfield Road area were affected.
A Brownie meeting had to be cancelled because of health and safety issues.
E.on spokesman Andrew Barrow said: "The fuse blew, just as it would in a normal house, but of course ours are slightly bigger!"
The fault happened at around 8am and crews worked through the day to restore power at 9.40pm.
