A letter printed in last week's Forest and Wye Valley Review contained information about collecting garden waste bins which are no longer required which was taken out of context. The dates detailed in the letter was for the individual resident only.

If residents no longer want/need their garden waste bins and would like them collected they can contact the council on 01594 810000. The council will then let the resident know between which dates they will collect them, asking them to leave the bin(s) out.

It is important residents contact the council first if they want their garden waste bin(s) collected.

Over 12,500 licences have now been sold. Residents who have not signed up to the new service are welcome to keep their garden waste bins but they will not be emptied without a licence.
