AUDIENCES were far from miserly with their applause during Caldicot Musical Theatre Society’s latest production.
All three performances of Ebenezer: The Night Before Christmas at Caldicot Male Voice Choir’s hall were sold out.
The story is a re-telling of Dickens’s classic Christmas tale and there were plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with festive songs.
The production featured Andrew Ridgen as Scrooge, Will Jones as Bob Cratchit, Oliver Skinner as the narrator, Shannon Bradbury as Mrs Cratchit, Jack Pocock, Ian Crawford and Megan Davies as the ghosts of Christmas and Ioan Skinner as Tiny Tim.
The producer was Amy Gibbs and Gareth Williams was the musical director – and Santa made an appearance to meet the children before the start of the show.
Ms Gibbs said: “I have been so thrilled about bringing this show back to the stage for over a year.
“We put the production together for the first time back in 2011. It’s a real family, festive show and was guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit.”
