WORK to improve Cinderford Leisure Centre is on track to finish next month.
Since August the swimming pool, on Causeway Road, has undergone a major revamp as part of a £300,000 investment to provide a high standard leisure centre for the community.
The work has included a new poolside floor, ceiling, lighting, showers, and disabled changing area, as well as the installation of two energy efficient boilers. The improvements will also see the creation of a new reception area and access for disabled users and those with prams and pushchairs.
Cabinet Member for the Community, Cllr Terry Hale (Con, Newland and St Briavels) said: "The works are still on track for the swimming pool to re-open in November.
"The building works only affect the swimming pool and reception area and the other facilities in the leisure centre have remained open."
