CAN I on behalf of Lydney Town Council wish Jane Matthews and Dave Richards and their team all the best for the re-opening of Bathurst Outdoor Swimming Pool.
The keys have been formally handed over and their team is now completing all the preparatory work. This is a real example of a group achieving something for the community – campaigning, raising the money and getting the support from the people of Lydney.
We may not have had the finance on the Town Council to open the pool this summer term, but we have a local force of people who are prepared to act. Obviously we support them in spirit for the sake of Lydney. – David Clarke, Mayor of Lydney.
