TWO long-time residents of a sheltered housing complex officially opened its new-look lounge.
Iris Knight and Doris Greig cut a ribbon to declare the refurbished lounge at Goode Court open.
Mrs Knight moved into the complex in 1985 and Mrs Greig arrived four years later.
Manager Carole Cousins said: "Goode Court is run by Housing and Care 21 who have carried out a major refurbishment which is greatly appreciated by the residents."
Residents enjoyed a buffet supper and entertainment to mark the official opening and the 50th anniversary of Housing and Care 21.
Goode Court has been given a grant by Gloucestershire County Council to set up a community hub for older people in the Lydney area.
A taster day is being held next Wednesday (September 24) from 10.30am to 3.30pm with a range of activities and local organisations offering information.
