VOLUNTARY and community groups across the Forest of Dean are being invited to apply for one-off grants of up to £2,500.
A total £19,800 is available from Forest of Dean District Council to support community groups who can demonstrate how they work in partnership with others.
Groups who provide activities and services focusing on the needs of children under 11, healthy ageing, or vulnerable or disadvantaged members of the community will take priority.
The council's community engagement manager at the District Council, Tress Tremlett, said: "This is a good opportunity for any voluntary or community group from across the district to receive funding. This is also a great chance for community groups to get together and work with their community to achieve things for themselves.
"We will be looking for groups who demonstrate a good sense of partnership working in their communities to achieve sustainable long lasting results for local people."
All applications will be rated against set criteria with grants being given to those who meet the most criteria and show the best value for money.
Application packs are available from the council's website at http://www.fdean.gov.uk">www.fdean.gov.uk or contact Tess Tremlett on 812382 or by e-mail on [email protected]">[email protected]
The closing date for all applications is Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
