AFTER several very slippery journeys in Cinderford town
during the bad weather, I begain to think of the elderly
and how the disgusting state of the pavements in and
around Cinderford would effect them. Even our own
mayor had come a cropper.
Then on Wednesday and again on Thursday came
some young heroes. Armed with shovels and salt, they
begain the huge task of not only clearing the ice away
from outside their on home but the rest of the town also.
They asked for no reward they just did it because they
could.
I would like to express my own thanks to them not
only for clearing the ice but also for showing that not all
young people are bad as some like to make out. Well
done, Acorn House! – Sonia Brown, Cinderford.
