A WYE Valley horse sanctuary has been put on the market by the charity that runs it.
The HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) rescue centre at Gregory Farm, Brockweir is up for sale at an undisclosed price.
The charity, which temporarily closed the centre before Christmas, says it is trying to guage potential interest in the site.
The sale of 83.3 acres is being handled by David James and Partners at its Old Sodbury office.
Although the details state "price on application", properties on the agent's website are listed in price order with the Wye Valley centre in between farms for sale at £460,000 and £650,000.
A HAPPA spokesperson said that 'all options' were still open at Gregory farm and notices about the sale of the property were seeking offers to guage what sort of interest there might be.
"We are still engaged with the consultation process with our staff and cannot make any decisions until this is complete," she said.
She said the board had been reviewing the future of the farm 'for a long while' and had been completely open about the process.
It was unclear how charges of 'wasting police time' had arisen and so far as she knew the only time a policeman had been present was when a PCSO dropped in while they were discussing the matter with representatives of Hewelsfield and Brockweir parish council. She did not know why he was there as he had not been invited.
She said she expected a decision on the future of the farm 'in a matter of weeks' but this was dependent on the ongoing consultations with staff.
