PROCEEDS raised from a dance show in Broadwell have been presented to two charities.

Members of the Susan Chatwin School of Dance, based at Broadwell Memorial Hall, hosted a Dance to the Beat with £500 each going to NHS Organ Donation and Stroke Association.

Teacher Nicola Bevan said: “We chose to give so much money towards a stroke ward as one of our youngest pupils’ mum is recovering from a stroke. Also we want to help a kidney charity as one of our eldest pupils, who is now leaving dance to go to university, has had a kidney transplant and she now continues to fundraise for the Dilke Hospital and Bristol Children’s Hospital. The remainder of the funds are being used to have ballet barres fitted in the Evergreen Hall.”
