IT'S been an amazing year for Chepstow singer Hannah Berney – but her dream of being The Voice is over.

The former Wyedean School pupil was voted off the hit BBC show on Sunday – but it was a close-run thing as mentor Danny O'Donoghue heaped praise on her.

She sang Cry Me a River but after the public voted to save Aleks Josh, Bo Bruce and David Julien from Danny's team, The Script singer was forced to choose between Hannah and Max Milner.

He said: "No one from my team or anybody's team deserves to get knocked out after showing such heart, after showing such growth in such a short number of weeks.

"Hannah, from day one we've always been a collaborative team, we've always worked on everything together.

"The way you did that mash up, the way you tipped your hat to the old, to the new – that's what the industry needs, people thinking in a unique way."

Hannah said: "This has probably been the best year of my life, I turned twenty one, I've sung for the Queen, I've done live television."
