WYE Valley Dog Training Club (DTC) has won the Great Western League Agil­ity final for the third consecutive year.

The win follows their third place finish at Crufts in the small team agility final in March.

The club, which train at St Briavels, beat Herefordshire-based Golden Valley Dog Training Club.

The successful team members were Sue Stock with Lucy and Dash, Roberta Powell with Finley, Claire Snell with Beanie, Lorraine Drew with Dot and Daisy, Tricia Hollingshead with Raps, Abby Lusty with Bee, Alison Belcher with Ed and Hilary Bowden with Gunner.

Qualifying rounds were held over the winter and Wye Valley DTC beat both Prestbury Park Dog Agility Training Club and Tuffley Dog Agility club both home and away to qualify for the final.

Captain Hilary Bowden said: “This is a great start for a fantastic club at the start of the agility season. The team and the club are very grateful for the support provided by Berkeley Vale Motors.”
