I WOULD like to thank everyone for all their help in the fundraising football matches against the First Rifles.

The four matches were to help the funds of Afghan Heroes and The First Rifles 'Activity Break' project which helps army children.

Many people helped put this on and donated to the event.

I would like to thank The Two Brewers Pub for the after match buffet, the DJ, the Co-op for the food and the barbecue cooks, Chris Jordan and Cliff Peck; Steve Parker (chairman of Thornwell Football Club), Chepstow town mayor Marian Lewis, the Thornwell Football Team, and finally the fundraising team Steve Parker, Marian Lewis, Dave Adams, Cliff Peck, Andy Dash, Anthony Vidler, Chris Jordan, Bill Vidler, David Watts and, the joker of the pack, the one and only Andy Ivin.
