How much money has been sent from central Government to help the flood victims of Gloucestershire? I asked this question at a meeting of the Forest of Dean District Council. The answer: Nil.

This is absolutely deplorable when we are still sending aid to foreign countries. The UK budget we will give overseas in the next two years will come to the grand sum of £12.6 billion and yet we who pay for this vast amount of taxpayers' money cannot have any help for our own flood victims.

What is our member of parliament doing to help the Forest? What is Gloucestershire County Council doing to help the Forest?

We as a district council gave all the help possible with staff working to help those in need.

There was only praise for their quick response to help people who were flooded.

Charity begins at home. We must stop overseas money being wasted and we should look after people in the UK.
