I WOULD like to pass on my thanks to all the many volunteers who made it possible for visitors to enjoy over 30 free events for Heritage Open Days in the Forest of Dean.

We are so lucky in the Forest of Dean to be blessed with such a rich and diverse heritage and, more importantly, with people who wish to preserve and celebrate it.

We are pleased to share this aim with the Foresters’ Forest and have appreciated their support.

Thanks to all the visitors who have embraced the range of events and activities on offer whether walking, cycling, viewing or having fun.

Special thanks to the students of Dene Magna School who shared their First World War research.

If your readers have any ideas about how they would like to see this event develop or would like to get involved please do get in touch.
