YOUNG Forest boxer Chris Higgs is to have a professional fight at Cheltenham Town Hall on April 10.
This is the first time for 26 years that professional boxing has been presented at the Town Hall.
Lightweight Chris is up against Robin Deacon from the Midlands and his fight is among seven on the programme.
His father Brian said 100 tickets had already been sold in the Forest area and he expected more supporters to go, though the promoters were expecting a sell-out.
"There is not a very big purse for these young boxers but as his career progresses you would expect this to change," said Brian.
"I think it will be an interesting fight and Chris should be able to get the points in."
