A CAR coming out of Victoria Street into High Street in Cinderford rammed into the side of a car driven by community physio Georgina Tingle and was then driven off without stopping.

"It has caused quite a bit of damage to my car, but unfortunately there's a £350 excess on my insurance which leaves me out of pocket just before Christmas," said Georgina, who plans to take some children in care into her home over the holiday – a total of five children.

She says she was shaken by the accident as was her daughter Charlotte who was also in the car.

Luckily her car is still drivable as she needs it to reach clients in their homes.

"I really need to find out the owner of the car for details but unfortunately the CCTV at the spot was not on. We do have one image which might be the car – a pale blue Ford Mondeo – but it's not much for police to go on."

She said she would like to hear from anybody who knows the car and driver or who has seen a damaged car to contact the police with details.
