HUNDREDS of people lined the route to Caldicot Castle on Sunday as the Hoggin the Bridge motorbike spectacular came to town for the

first time.

It took more than two hours for the thousands of bikes to reach the castle, cheered on by locals.

The charity ride starts at Aust Services and has previously headed to Chepstow town centre

and Chepstow Racecourse.

There were many positive comments on social media from bikers about the new venue where there was live music and other entertainment.

Since being founded in 2000, Hoggin the Bridge has raised more than £100,00 for a range of charities including Meningitis Now, air ambulance and St David’s Hospice.

Bike enthusiasts on two, three and four wheels made the journey over the Severn Bridge and many slowed down to clap hands with supporters.
