THIEVES tried to break into a garage in Primrose Drive, Coleford, by cutting a hole in the metal door, but went away empty-handed.

Forest police are appealing for information about the attempted burglary which happened between 10.30pm on Tuesday July 3 and 5am on Wednesday July 4.

The police said anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the crime should call 101, quoting incident 82 of July 4.
