VISITORS to Chepstow Library were invited to see the progress on the library's garden.

The Friends of Chepstow Library Garden hosted an event with refreshments while sister group the Friends of Chepstow Library staffed stalls selling off surplus books from the Monmouthshire Libraries collection.

Nigel Lees of the Friends of Chepstow Library Garden said: "It is an opportunity to see the progress we have made so far in transforming this once neglected space into a garden we can all be proud of.

"Chepstow Library staff and volunteers work very hard to ensure that events are run in the garden throughout the year to make this a very special place."

The garden group will be working with young artists from Chepstow School to create a colourful mural for the area.
