HUMAN remains found in a quarry in Chepstow have been sent for DNA tests.

Gwent Police received a call about the discovery of the remains in the disused Beaufort Quarry between Garden City and Bulwark.

An investigation was launched last Wednesday (February 24) after the remains were recovered.

A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said: “We will not know any further information until we have received the DNA results which is anticipated as being towards the end of the week.”
