NO, Mr L Morgan from Drybrook, Hitler's Nazi Party were not on the far right. They were so far left that on the political spectrum they were the only party ever to have been positioned left of Communism. Hitler's predecessors, the Weimar Republic, caused inflation to reach such a pitch that one U.S dollar equalled four trillion German marks.
Contrary to the opinions of the right wing, Hitler recognised a currency as being a rate of exchange and not a commodity that can be bought and sold. He withdrew the mark from the clutches of international money speculators, and dictated that one German mark would equal one American dollar.
The full name of the Nazi Party included the word "Socialist" and Hitler described himself as being one. Can you imagine right wing organisations doing that? Of course not.
The Night of the Long Knives, burning books in the street, turfing undesirable people from their homes, all these show Hitler had no qualms about creating trouble in the streets; just as the left wing in the U.K behave.
The main political parties in the U.K have over recent years considered State funding for themselves to force the taxpayer to pay their membership subscriptions; voted twice against referendums on Europe thereby denying democracy to the people twice; while, until they found out, they were dipping their fingers into the national till. It is therefore in perfect order to compare these parties with the Nazi Party.
Offensive or not, I shall continue to do so until such time as the main parties have learnt that the people, not the parties, come first.
