Isn't this just typical of the attitude of today's drivers. He/she parked illegally, got caught and proceeded to whine about it.

The usual defence about only being a few seconds was trotted out. This really gets my back up! A few seconds, a few hours. It doesn't matter. Parking restrictions are there for a reason. Don't do it!

The problem is, there is too much laziness today and people are not prepared to walk anywhere, even a short distance and because of the lack of traffic wardens, illegal and inconsiderate parking has become rife.

Of course, the usual solution to the lack of a convenient parking space is simple, because, as everyone knows, your car comes equipped with "Park Anywhere Lights" aka hazard warning lights. Quite possibly the most abused piece of equipment ever invented.

I'm going to stop now before I really go on a rant.
