TO the person who wrote in the Review about 'miserable St Briavels,' I suggest he or she should attend one of our charity coffee mornings which we hold on Bank Holidays in the Pavilion. The last one, which was held on Easter Monday, raised over £1,000 for the 'Hope of Tomorrow' chemotherapy bus.

Over the past 20 years the money we have raised in the village for various local charities has been incredible. So where is the evidence of the village being miserable?

As for the inconsiderate motorists, we all meet them in the course of our lives. Did you stop and ask them if they lived in St Briavels? I think not.

Our next Coffee Morning in aid of the Cobalt Unit Appeal Fund is on May 30 at 10am. All welcome.
