SOLDIERS of Beachley-based 1 Rifles were presented with medals for service in Iraq.

The medals were presented by the Rifles’ Colonel, HRH Prince Edward of Kent watched by the families of the soldiers.

The Rifles were in Iraq as part of Operation Shader and their duties included training the Iraqi army.

The presentation, to soldiers who were in Iraq between 2015 and 2018, took place last Friday, November 30, at Beachley Barracks.
