A JOB advert on a recruitment website has set tongues wagging that The Original Factory Shop is moving into a vacant shop in Cinderford.
The advert for an assistant manager on RetailChoice.com was posted last Thursday and states Cinderford as the job location.
The news comes after months of speculation that the former Westgate store, which is owned by Midcounties Co-operative, could see a new retailer move in.
Workmen have been seen clearing out the store and new tarmac has been laid in the rear car park.
There was rumours of leading High Street clothing chain Peacocks taking up residency.
The Original Factory Shop, which sells clothing, beauty products and general household items and appliances, already has stores in Lydney, Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow and Caldicot.
A spokesperson for the Original Factory Shop said until the property is legally confirmed they cannot comment.
“As a fast growing national retailer operating in many communities, we’re exploring lots of locations across the UK.
“We’d love to bring our great range of quality brands at discounted prices to Cinderford, but can’t comment on specific properties at this point.”
