AS a senior manager at a supermarket, Katie Bolton is used to seeing custard on the shelves but on Saturday afternoon she sat in a bath of the stuff to raise money for charity.
Customers at Tesco, Lydney who made a donation were also able to nominate which good cause benefitted from the community day at the store.
By the end of the day £207 had been raised and customers decided it should go to the Friends of Lydney Hospital.
Katie, who is trade manager at the store, said: “Just before Christmas we were talking about fund raising.
“We do a lot for the local community but we wanted to do something a bit bigger than usual.”
The bath was provided by Tutshill-based builder Jan Karvik.
