I AM one of the many people who do not agree with the selling of the Forest of Dean.

I?think our beautiful Forest would be spoilt if anyone other than the Forestry Commission took control of it. It would become another Land's End.

We have gained so much history fighting to keep our heritage. To let it be sold to people with little regard for the Forest people or the landscape would truly be despicable.

I recently attended the rally at Speech House on January 3 to support the wonderful HOOF! I must say I, like many others, was very disappointed to hear that Mark?Harper was not attending the rally to show support for his Forest constituency.

To gain back respect he should back the Foresters and all the people who have moved here for the freedom and beauty of "Our Forest of Dean." If he decides not to back us he should resign and let someone who truly cares fight for us.
