IN the Review (July 29) Claude Mickleson advised that Dilke and Lydney hospitals are about to become privatised.
I don't know about Lydney, but the Dilke Hospital was paid for by local people for the benefit of local people, not for the benefit of private companies. The present Government promised to keep the NHS going, they made no mention of selling parts of it off.
If they want to be re-elected at the next general election they would be well advised to keep that promise. These hospitals should not be sold because privatisation was not what the money was donated for.
