FOUR tiny kittens are receiving help and care from the Cats Protection organisation, after they were dumped on the Bream to Lydney road last Saturday afternoon (September 7).
Horrified animal lovers have been flooding social media websites on the internet with angry comments about the four, one of which had a split pelvis and needed urgent vetinary help. All the kittens were described as 'very frightened'.
In a statement on their website, Cats Protection said: 'If you know who did this cruel and callous deed, then please persuade them to get the mother cat neutered before she has more kittens who might also meet such a heartless fate.'
They added: 'If they can't afford to get the cat neutered, please tell them to ring us for a voucher to offset the cost. Sadly, we have no way of knowing if the person who calls us for voucher is the "person" who dumped the kittens.'
Cats Protection can be contacted at 01594 841511 (cat enquiries), or via their shop on Lydney High Street, 01594 841848. Their email is forestcatsinfo @googlemail.com.
