Many people will already have thought it, but it still needs saying. The Government consultation on the proposed Forest sell out, is, as usual, a device to divide the opposition by offering a number of alternatives. Each of them may have supporters
The Government then says: "We cannot make our mind up" and "Not enough support for the HOOF movement" and similar comments, therefore they will make our minds up for us..
The consultation on post offices, by the last government, is a case in point – a done deal if there ever was one.
The Forest, is yours, mine, ours, all we want is for it to be left as it is. We must stay united, and accept nothing else.
– Roy Birch. Liberal Democrat, Tidenham.
